It dawned on me today that the seemingly harmless statement "nothing ever goes as planned" is true. It seems as though karma or some sort of otherworldly force prevents you from actually striving to your goal. In every respect, every turn there is a roadblock that you must face which changes everything you have planned up from the start. And yet we do so little about it, we seem to just accept that nothing can ever be planned to perfection. It seems as though all meager attempts to best this statement have proven unsuccessful. It may be depressing but all attempts to plan out your life will never always go according to what you say and we are helpless to stop it. Take for example the day of prom, you have bought everything you needed, planned everything, you are dressed up and ready to go, and yet something feels strange, and you realize you have a tear in your outfit 30 minutes before you arrive to prom.To put it simply it is best if you do not plan at all lest you enjoy facing disappointment after disappointment. The way I see it, there is a straight line that is the day out that you planned, however some unsuspected occurrence reveals itself and the line strays from the path. As you move further along that path the lines become more skewed and messy, no longer following the original path, and the worst of the whole ordeal is that the problems build up together and form some sort of solid wall that you cannot get around. My rant is simply asking why we choose to accept the fact what we plan never goes as smoothly as it should, and why no one is attempting to best the statement. Why should our lives be filled with such things when it can be as smooth as the path we laid out in the beginning?
Sincerely
Schmoobs
